There is little correlation between a site’s domain extension and its Google search ranking, according to a new report from SEO consulting company Moz. The biannual Search Engine Ranking Correlation Study and Expert Survey indicates that domain-level keyword-agnostic features, including domain extension, have the second-lowest correlation to search ranking, ahead of only page-level social metrics like Facebook “likes.”
