Gaggia Classic slightly dripping water over portafilter while brewing.

I’m going to try & describe this the best I can…. After filling the portafilter with espresso & attaching it to the grouphead, I turn it on . Before espresso comes dripping out of each portafilter spout–I see a little bit of water come around the side of the portafilter and drip into the cup.
