Half-and-half containers at my coffee shop

My small coffee shop has been open for about a month and a half and I’m struggling with the half-and-half that we keep at our coffee bar with the sugar, etc.. Questions are as follows: I keep the half-and-half in a thermos type container with a plastic foot .
